Cartagena is perhaps one of the most popular destinations in Colombia. The city is famous for its beautiful colonial streets, protective walls and joyful atmosphere. The Rosario Islands are a caribbean archipielago with pristine waters not far from Cartagena. In this post I share with you my Cartagena and Rosario Islands 3 day itinerary so that you can experience history, color, beautiful beaches, snorkel and even fluorescent plankton all in one trip.

Minca is a small mountain village in northern Colombia, located in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, about 45 minutes from the city of Santa Marta. Minca is especially known for its beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, coffee and cacao farms, and birdwatching. It is a place where you could easily spend several days to fully enjoy it, but even if you only have one day, a short visit is still very rewarding and gives you a good sense of its natural beauty.
