Day trip to Parc Astérix from Paris

Parc Astérix is one of the most fun day trips from Paris and is often considered better suited for adults than Disneyland Paris. Inspired by the famous French Astérix and Obélix comic books, the park features more than 50 attractions for both children and adults. I found it really cool that park is themed with all the different adventures Astérix and Obélix encounter in the comic books. I personally found the roller coasters to be great, and tickets for Parc Astérix is usually about half the price of those for Disneyland.

How to go to Parc Astérix from Paris

Parc Astérix is easy to reach by both public transport and car. The most convenient option is to take the RER B train to Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1, where the official Parc Astérix shuttle bus connects directly to the park in around 20 minutes. The shuttle costs about 12€ round trip. The shuttle runs regularly throughout the day and is timed to match the park's opening hours. If you're driving, the journey takes about 40 to 50 minutes.

What attractions to try at Parc Astérix

If you are more into extreme rollercoasters, the roller coasters to try are Toutatis, Oziris, Tonnerre 2 Zeus, Goudurix and La Trace du Hourra. My personal favorites were Toutatis and Tonnerre 2 Zeus. I'll do have to admit that some of the rides are not the most comfortable. You sometimes have to tense your neck and keep your head straight to avoid bumping into the safety restraints.

Hey there!

I’m Sofía, a soft explorer and a Colombian living in France. I love traveling and discovering new places, especially nature spots and places linked to ecotourism. I’m into slow, meaningful travel, where I can actually take my time and experience things instead of rushing through them. I also care about comfort, so I usually look for a balance between nature, simplicity, and feeling good while I travel.
